Vancouver 34 Pilot “Angel of the Downs”

£ 85,000 guide price

"Angel of the Downs" is a Vancouver 34 Pilot yacht designed for long-distance cruising. With its graceful lines, spacious interior, and steady handling, this vessel offers a comfortable and reliable sailing experience. The raised saloon provides excellent visibility, while the well-equipped galley and cosy sleeping areas ensure a pleasant stay on board.

Built in 1995 by Northshore Yachts, Angel of the Downs, like all Vancouver Yachts, is a good passage making yacht for a short handed crew to sail in comfort and in safety. The Vancouver Pilot is an easy-to-manage cruiser with the advantage of a sunny saloon giving clear views of scenery and the ability to ‘sail from indoors’ in inclement weather.

The yacht is fitted with a dependable diesel engine, a variety of sails for different conditions, and a thoughtful layout that maximizes both storage and comfort. Recent upgrades, including new rigging and refinished hatches, enhance its seaworthiness.

With a carefully maintained interior featuring cherry wood finishes, a warm heating system, and modern navigation equipment, Angel of the Downs is ready for new adventures.

In the ten years of our ownership we have sailed many miles in Angel, circumnavigating Britain and Ireland, including several summers cruising the Scottish Hebrides and Northern Isles. The previous owner sailed her to the Baltic and Norway. We have regularly maintained and constantly updated her, including new engine, electronics, plumbing, canvas covers, upholstery and, only last winter, new standing rigging and weather deck.

It is with heavy heart that, with our advancing age and ailments, we have decided that our pretty yacht must now go to another caring owner.
